We're seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Assistant Resident Manager at our Kingston, ON location. This is a full-time, live-in opportunity that offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of building common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of all halls, air vents, light fixtures, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, landings, entrance, elevators, laundry room, and office area.
  • Assist in building management and office administration, responding to tenant inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
  • Conduct and/or supervise on-site activities in accordance with Skyline's specifications and applicable provincial legislation.

Requirements:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
  • Good maintenance and cleaning skills, with a general understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Knowledgeable about repair and general maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented.
  • Good judgment and innovation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, and pulling, as well as going up and down stairs.
  • PC skills are an asset, with experience in Word, Excel, email, and web applications.
  • Previous sales experience is an asset.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or 5 years of work-related experience.
  • Previous experience renting apartments and assisting tenants is required.
  • Experience in sales or a related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation respecting residential tenancies and the rights and obligations of landlords and tenants is an asset.
