This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in partnership with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director will be responsible for managing a team dedicated to coordinating Indigenous health-related projects, programs, and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a team responsible for the successful delivery and coordination of IPADS projects and programs within the department.
  • Collaborate with Indigenous health leaders, First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities to develop and implement health-related projects, policies, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and strategic oversight to ensure the smooth operation of the team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with First Nations, Métis, Inuit peoples, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that advance Indigenous reconciliation, inclusion, and opportunity.
  • Offer timely and well-informed advice to the senior leadership team, contributing to the division and ministry's strategic goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • University graduation in Health, Public Health, Health Administration, Indigenous Relations, Commerce, Economics, and Business Administration, supplemented by seven years progressively responsible experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and policy development.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships and successfully collaborating with internal and external government stakeholders, local Indigenous communities, and other related associations and organizations.
