Surgical Instrumentation Specialist

Job Title:
Surgical Instrumentation SpecialistAt Alberta Health Services, we offer a competitive rate of pay with an annual maximum Remote Retention Allowance of $3,000.
As a Surgical Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for the decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation. You will utilize the principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). You will ensure that instrumentation and equipment are in proper working order, perform biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing, and report any problems to your supervisor or designate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program
- Completion of a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on location and experience.
