Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan
  • Integrate clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe treatment and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients
  • Utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership, and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree
  • Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Ability to support a flexible work schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable working directly with patients and their family members
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team environment
  • Ability to function independently
  • Excel at working in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Work well under pressure and stressful situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Application and knowledge of current research, with ongoing interest in research-based care
  • Experience in a wide range of assessment, treatment, and therapeutic interventions, health promotion, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up care in the community
  • Completion of ACLS and one or more of: PALS, TNCC, ITLS, and NRP
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in ECG interpretation, wound closure, minor procedures (aspiration, incision and drainage, excision of lesions), fracture management, and wound care
