About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team at BC Foundation Specialties Ltd. as a key member of our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and balanced.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as manage benefits and other employee-related expenses.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all financial transactions and records are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and QuickBooks is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential.
