About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at BAIE VISTA INN LIMITED. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and other financial transactions
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation, and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries and prepare other financial reports, including tax returns and trial balances
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
  • Develop and implement financial procedures to ensure efficient and accurate financial management
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks and MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
