About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Sahib Truck Repair Ltd. as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician. As a Commercial Vehicle Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including automotive and truck-trailer systems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and adjust, repair or replace parts and components as needed.
  • Estimation and Scheduling: Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • Customer Service: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and provide excellent customer service.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a fast-paced environment that requires standing for extended periods, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. Overtime may be required, and the ability to work in a team environment is essential.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
