CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled NDT Technician to join our team in a remote opportunity working throughout Alberta.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit and document technical processes, provide consulting services, and draft reports related to non-destructive testing.
  • Conduct hardness testing, spark testing, asset testing, and corrosion surveys to ensure the integrity of materials and components.
  • Utilize ultrasonic equipment to detect internal and external defects in welding materials and components.
  • Perform magnetic particle inspection to identify defects and ensure quality control.
  • Provide QA/QC technical services to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct NDT testing to identify defects and ensure the quality of materials and components.
  • Provide pipeline integrity services to ensure the safe and reliable operation of pipelines.
  • Record and maintain permanent records of phased array testing.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a CGSB Ultrasonic Level 2 certification, PAUT, and Magnetic Particle Level 2 certification.
  • Hold a CWB Level 1 or 2 certification and have pipeline integrity experience.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule and travel within Western Canada regularly for short-term call-outs.
  • Have a truck capable of accessing pipeline ROWs and related industry-standard insurance coverage.
  • Have basic UT/MPI certified equipment.
  • Have strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Have strong technical computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethics.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Hold safety tickets, including H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, and Fall Protection.
  • Pass a D&A pre-access exam.
  • Pass a background check.
