Job Summary:

The Certified Rehabilitation Assistant (CRA) is a vital member of the Allied Health Services team at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the CRA provides exceptional client care under the direction of professional staff. This role is responsible for delivering client-related services within the Rehabilitation Program, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide client care procedures under the direction of professional staff
  • Deliver client-related services within the Rehabilitation Program
  • Maintain and enhance the program through various non-client care functions
  • Complete other complimentary duties as per program job content/position assignments
  • Comply with all safety procedures and safe working techniques
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year recent related health care experience (preferred)
  • Relevant training or experience in rehabilitation (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in working with the geriatric population (preferred)
  • Knowledge of safe lifting, transfer, and ambulating techniques (required)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in French language is an asset

Education and/or Certification:

  • Certified Rehabilitation Assistant certificate or equivalent (required)
  • Certification in C.P.R. required, BCLS (preferred)
