Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Upper Crust. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment. You will also replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components, and perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Replacing or reconditioning shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
  • Performing some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts
  • Performing on-site servicing and repair
  • Testing and repairing or replacing faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
  • Testing repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years of experience in the field. Fluency in English is required.
