Civil Engineer for Heavy Industry Projects

G Mining Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Civil Engineer to fill a position dedicated to engineering for light and heavy industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare calculation notes for concrete structures in heavy industry buildings.
  • Design and prepare calculation notes for steel structures in heavy industry buildings.
  • Review and assist in preparing engineering drawings, design specifications, standard documents, and engineering reports.
  • Follow up with steel fabricators and review shop drawings.
  • Check 2D drawings and 3D models for clashes and constructability with other disciplines.
  • Support junior resources in carrying out the various phases of studies, and basic and detailed engineering.
  • Participate in preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure plans meet guidelines, building code requirements, and national and international standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and follow up on the progress of construction schedules.
  • Prepare cost and time estimates.
  • Participate in the development of the schedule, ensure compliance with contractual schedules, and develop corrective measures and plans if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with specialization in structural design.
  • Experience in designing concrete and steel structures for heavy industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP2000 or ADA(Advance Design America) and Revit softwares.
  • English (conversation, writing, and comprehension).
  • Spanish is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
