Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit reports, and communicate effectively with the chef and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, client focus, flexibility, and team player skills.
