Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Tasks: Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to meet customer needs.
  • Authorize Returns: Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for sales staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise to customers and provide product information and recommendations.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
  • Supervise Sales Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of sales staff to ensure they are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a sales or retail environment.
  • Work Setting: Rural area, remote location, retail business.
  • Transportation/Travel: Public transportation is not available.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, walking, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, initiative, judgement, ability to multitask.
