Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Extendicare Canada Inc. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing direct personal support and care to patients in accordance with our policies, procedures, and work routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients, including ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming
- Assist with providing care in accordance with nursing care plans and job routines
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other staff members
- Participate in care planning and documentation
- Work independently in a community home care setting
Requirements
- Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards
- Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care
- Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation
- Ability to communicate positively with others and provide care in accordance with application legislation
