The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and experience working with computerized woodworking machines. You will be required to read and interpret specifications, follow verbal instructions, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate computerized or manual woodworking machines
  • Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Replace parts as required

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
