We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to pediatric patients in our inpatient unit and ambulatory day clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pediatric patients on admission and at regular intervals.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on health management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Act as a preceptor and mentor to new nursing staff and students, promoting best practices and family-centered care.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- One year's recent, related clinical nursing experience in pediatric care, with completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification in pediatric nursing.
- Clinical proficiency in pediatric nursing, with ability to apply pediatric nursing theory and expertise to provide high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
