Job Title: Cabinetmaker - Furniture Craftsman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Bestway Cabinets & Millworks. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom cabinets and furniture for residential and commercial clients.


Responsibilities
  • Design and Build Cabinets: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, trim joints, and fit parts together to form complete units.
  • Furniture Installation: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in cabinetmaking, woodworking, or a related field.
  • Languages: English language skills.

Working Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: At heights, noisy, dusty.
  • Work Setting: Industrial, residential, commercial, millwork/pre-fab shopwork, construction.
  • Tasks: Physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling.

  • Attention to Detail: Accurate, organized, team player.

Work Schedule
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week.
