We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Pizza Pizza. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Determine the size of food portions and costs, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Kitchen Operations: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, offers on-the-job training tailored to youth, and provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Customer Service: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
