Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Load and unload goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel for extended periods
  • Willing to travel overnight
  • Attention to detail
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Large workload
  • Overtime required
  • Physically demanding
  • Repetitive tasks
  • More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload. The position requires physical demands, including handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
