Job Description:
  • Under the direction of the Dining Services Manager/Head Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and garnishing attractively plated, nutritious meals for residents and guests.
  • You will ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met in the kitchen and equipment in accordance with public health regulations.
  • You will assist in menu planning and recipe development by providing input on resident acceptability.
  • You will participate in developing, standardizing, and costing recipes by ensuring portion control.
  • You will forecast food production requirements on a daily basis and plan for effective utilization of food and leftovers.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
