At Eighty8 Alpha Automotive Inc., we are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, as well as adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field and a strong understanding of English. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a team player.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Confirming findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discussing work with supervisor
  • Inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Inspecting motor in operation
  • Reviewing work orders
  • Road testing motor vehicles
  • Testing automotive systems and components
  • Adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repairing or replacing mechanical units or components
  • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimating parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Performing scheduled maintenance service
  • Testing and adjusting units to specifications
  • Advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Completing reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coaching and instructing apprentices
  • Providing customer service
