At Canada Post Corp, we're seeking a skilled Retail Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing top-notch services to the business community and public.

About the Role

This is an on-call opportunity, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of our fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for:

  • Selling postal products and services to businesses and individuals
  • Sorting, distributing, and processing mail into appropriate classifications
  • Providing customers with information and forms
  • Addressing delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or provincial equivalency, combined with relevant experience in business administration
  • Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
  • An understanding of general or post office accounting systems
  • The physical ability to lift mail containers up to 50 pounds, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods
