Recreation Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapist to join our team at Shuswap Community Care Health Services. As a Recreation Therapist, you will provide recreation and leisure programs to clients, both individually and in groups, tailoring activities to their needs.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' recreation requirements and develop therapeutic plans
  • Coordinate the delivery of recreation programs and evaluate outcomes
  • Document observations and collaborate with healthcare professionals to address client issues
  • Contribute to Recreation Therapy services, participating in quality assurance, research, and educational activities
About the Role:

This is a casual employment opportunity, with shifts ranging from zero to 37.5 hours per week. Day and evening shifts are available, accommodating varying schedules. Casual positions provide opportunities for internal advancement, allowing employees to apply for permanent part-time or full-time positions within our organization and across Interior Health.
