The role of the Power Systems Account Specialist at Toromont Cat is a dynamic opportunity for an individual to drive revenue growth and build long-term relationships with clients in the mining and off-grid electric power industry.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales prospects, maintaining customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth and building strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and positioning Toromont CAT as a premier supplier and partner in the marketplace.

About the Job:

  • This role requires a post-secondary education and 5+ years' experience in the industry, with a strong understanding of diesel and natural gas generators.
  • You will have a proven track record of sales success, with experience engaging new customers and business opportunities.
  • You will be required to develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, and end-users, generating new sales opportunities for the Power Systems Division's line of products.
  • You will follow up on customer requests for quotes, providing trusted advisor services for the complete line of products and services.
  • You will develop and prepare quotes, technical submissions, etc.
  • You will utilize available CRM and opportunity management tools to target specific customers and markets.
  • You will develop territory plans, to be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
  • You will review strategic territory plans with Management, reporting on progress to achieve KPIs on a regular basis.

  • You are a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a strong background in sales and customer service.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization and with customers.
  • You have a solid business and financial acumen, with an advanced understanding of business principles, company policies, and objectives.
  • You are self-motivated and adaptable, with a high sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, DBS, SIS.
  • You have knowledge of iMACS, SMA-X, Quotelog, Saleslink systems is a plus.
  • You are willing and able to travel and work flexible hours in support of the business needs.
  • You have a valid Passport and valid Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.

Toromont Cat is an industry leader in the supply and integration of backup and prime power generation systems, rental generators, marine engines, and industrial engines through customized engineering and packaging. Our Power Systems division is dedicated to supporting our customers when it comes to power generation, power quality, marine engines, industrial engines, rental power, pumps, and temperature control.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
