Senior Full Stack Engineer

At Questrade Financial Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly performing and scalable web and mobile applications that meet the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams, to resolve issues and provide updates
  • Develop and maintain documentation of production systems, processes, and procedures
  • Responsible for building the structure of a software application, including writing business logic, server scripts, and application programming interfaces (APIs)
  • Contribute ideas and solutions in a creative agile team environment, with superlative communication and collaboration skills
  • Show a strong awareness of operational and automation mindsets
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud native concepts, data management lifecycles, and security engineering practices
  • Be part of the solutioning and implementation team for new application features and functionality
  • Provide support and expertise for a multi-tiered environment, evaluating and recommending additional infrastructure or software required to support our web applications
  • Play an active role in defining and implementing best practices, standards, and procedures, including quality and delivery methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with documented software processes and procedures throughout the life cycle of software products
  • Develop unit tests, extend and enhance existing automated testing frameworks
  • Assist in developing and refining CI/CD pipelines for web applications, participating in deployment and release activities

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in C# and Angular, with experience in developing and troubleshooting applications using these technologies
  • Experience with Azure, including Azure Cloud Services, Azure Storage, and Azure Active Directory
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, including design patterns and scalability considerations
  • Experience with messaging technologies, such as message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) and event-driven architecture
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as App Insight and Sentry
