CCTV Inspection Technician

At Mainline Construction, we are seeking a skilled CCTV Inspection Operator to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of underground pipelines using a CCTV inspection truck.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a CCTV inspection truck to video, record, and document the condition and location of underground pipelines.
  • Perform pressure tests, flushing, and disinfection of pipes, and be familiar with the operations of water and sewer systems, valves, manholes, and apparatuses.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of a Locator who will assist with project tasks.
  • Complete and submit required reports and project data on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to and enforce safety standards, and plan and execute projects in an efficient manner without direct oversight.
  • Coordinate activities with other operators and supervisors, and maintain equipment in good operating condition.
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections, as well as routine maintenance, and be aware of changes to materials and techniques.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • NASSCO PACP certification is required.
  • Valid Alberta Class 3 Operators license with Q endorsement and clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Proficiency with pipe inspection programs, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated attitude and ability to work without direct supervision at times.
  • Excellent team skills and ability to adapt and deal with issues as they arise.
