As a Senior Civil Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading our team to achieve this vision. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in developing and implementing project safety programs, leading the pursuit of new work, and overseeing the development and implementation of quality management plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Lead the pursuit of new work by participating in estimates, working with trade contractors, and participating in proposals and presentations.
- Oversee the development and implementation of quality management plans to ensure high-quality results.
- Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
- Monitor project performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
- Manage project team, client representative, consultant, and trade contractor relationships.
- Monitor progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables.
- Assist the project team lead in obtaining a comprehensive design-management and design-quality plan and conduct periodic quality audits to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive construction experience with multiple contract delivery types as a leader and mentor preferred.
- Experience in estimating civil and infrastructure projects preferred.
- Experience managing civil-related structures and transit projects (Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail Transit, and railways), stations, and facilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
