We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at University Hospital of Northern BC. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized lab procedures, working closely with patients, laboratory and hospital personnel, and medical staff.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized lab procedures, including blood tests, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests.
- Work collaboratively with laboratory and hospital personnel to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with technological developments in the field and apply new knowledge and skills to improve laboratory procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
- Eligibility for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, laboratory and hospital personnel, and medical staff.
- Ability to sustain attention to accuracy and detail over extended periods.
- Ability to keep abreast of technological developments in the field.
