We seek a highly motivated and experienced financial professional to join our team as a Director of Finance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization by overseeing all financial activities, from strategic planning to operational execution.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting and long-term financial planning. Provide insightful financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, encompassing accounting, budgeting, business controlling, and financial reporting. Manage working capital effectively and optimize financial performance. Prepare comprehensive monthly/yearly reporting packages for both Canadian and US Divisions' financial statements.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Establish clear performance metrics and guide the finance team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies. Identify potential financial risks and implement proactive strategies to mitigate them. Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Stakeholder Management: Present clear and concise financial results and insights to the executive team, board of directors, and other key stakeholders. Foster strong relationships with other departments, providing financial guidance and support for their initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in senior-level financial or accounting/audit positions within a large, international corporation.
  • Proven supervisory capabilities and the ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional skills in financial analysis, preparation of financial statements, and corporate reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities, providing valuable insights to influence financial outcomes.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP accounting systems is highly desirable.
