About the Role:
  • Provide legal opinions and advice on various financial transactions and contracts, including ISDA Master Agreements, GMRA, and GMSLA.
  • Assist in the negotiation and drafting of financial contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement legal strategies that support the Bank's business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial markets law and regulations, providing guidance to the team on best practices.
  • Work closely with the Financial Markets and Corporate Capital Management teams to ensure seamless execution of financial transactions.
About the Team:

The Capital Markets and Treasury Risk Management sector is a dynamic team of 6 lawyers and a paralegal, dedicated to providing sound legal support to the Bank's national and international desks. We offer a hybrid work model, flexible work arrangements, and ongoing learning opportunities to support your growth and well-being.

Requirements:
  • Member of the Bar of Quebec (Barreau du Québec)
  • Knowledge of financial transactions law and/or derivatives law
  • Experience in negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, GMRA, and GMSLA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
