Job Title: Senior Advisor, GNSS Products and Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor to join our team in the Canadian Geodetic Survey (CGS). The successful candidate will provide expertise and leadership for the development and implementation of modern GNSS products, including Precise Point Positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate innovative GNSS techniques and algorithms.
  • Plan and execute operational GNSS-based technology development projects in a team environment to meet geodetic science objectives.
  • Lead collaborations and/or partnerships at the national and international level to advance GNSS and related geodetic technologies.
  • Provide technical and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in geodesy or other related field.
  • Experience developing and communicating innovative GNSS techniques and/or algorithms.
  • Experience planning and executing operational GNSS-based technology development projects in a team environment.
  • Experience leading collaborations and/or partnerships at the national and international level.
  • Experience providing technical and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Graduation with an MSc or Doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Geodesy.
  • Experience managing human, financial and material resources.

Operational Requirements:

  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours and overtime.

Selection Criteria:

  • Knowledge of existing and emerging GNSS and other space-based geodetic technologies.
  • Knowledge of operational requirements for the provision of GNSS augmentation services and related products.
  • Ability to build and nurture effective collaborative networks and relationships with communities of practice, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to seek and leverage opportunities to enhance outcomes through partnerships and horizontal initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Salary Range: $134,863 to $162,627
