Geotechnical Technical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Technical Director to join our team in Quebec. As a key member of our Geotechnical Group, you will be responsible for managing large-scale geotechnical projects, designing structures, and reviewing technical reports to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute large-scale geotechnical studies
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Manage complex technical situations
  • Establish and implement applicable standards and procedures
  • Advise and develop new methods, practices, and tools
  • Participate in staff coaching and development
  • Contribute to service proposals
  • Write technical reports
  • Ensure administrative and financial management of mandates, maintain client relationships
  • Contribute to the development of the geotechnical discipline at Stantec in Quebec
Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including several years in infrastructure projects
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Fluency in French for writing technical reports
  • Knowledge of English is required to facilitate collaboration with internal teams outside Quebec or with clients
