Mosaic Artisan

We are seeking an experienced Wall and Floor Tile Setter to join our team at the Argcon Group Inc. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of $85,000 per year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles. They will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels. The individual will set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, align and straighten tiles, cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, and install tile strips.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field. A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and the ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination are essential skills.
