At Phasor Engineering Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing overhead and underground power delivery systems ranging from 4kV to 69kV. Your expertise in civil, structural, electrical engineering, construction, and telecommunications will be essential in creating detailed scopes and estimates, performing calculations, and developing design drawings following applicable utility, national, or international standards and codes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop overhead and underground power delivery systems.
  • Assist in creating detailed scopes and estimates.
  • Perform calculations and develop design drawings.
  • Interact with internal and external contacts for design details.
  • Experience in Quickpole, SpidaCalc, is required.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes is highly desired.
  • Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.
  • Interface with senior personnel to resolve technical and project issues.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
  • Coordinate with other business units to verify project design requirements and delivery schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years' related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively independently and as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Distribution Standards and design experience within the Ontario region.
  • Ideal candidate would have a desire to support distribution design works for new and current clients across North America.
  • Previous experience with drafting software is required.
