Job Title: PLSQL Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled PLSQL Developer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a PLSQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing Oracle PL/SQL applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of projects, enhancements, and system tickets.
  • Triage technical issues, perform technical analysis, and implement remediation steps involving Oracle PLSQL and related technologies.
  • Participate in daily SCRUM, planning, and management meetings to discuss progress, issues, and challenges.
  • Peer testing, code review, and impact analysis of modules developed by team members.
  • Identify inadequately documented areas and ensure documentation is created.
  • Provide technical mentoring to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of PL/SQL and SQL experience.
  • Oracle PL/SQL development involving packages, procedures, functions, triggers, hints, and data migration scripts.
  • Developing and debugging complex PLSQL packages involving large data sets, collections, and advanced PLSQL communications with Oracle.
  • DBLinks, hints, performance tuning, and handling database locks.
  • UNIX shell scripts with intermediate debugging and development skills.
  • Version control tools, collaboration tools, and application life cycle management tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Core Java Development.
  • Springboot, UI (Angular).
  • US Health benefits/HealthCare domain.
  • Oracle Applications (R12).

Education:

  • Degree: Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent work experience.
