Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at Bowes Truck Centre Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair
    • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport trucks to identify and diagnose mechanical issues
    • Perform repairs and maintenance on truck systems, including engine, transmission, and brake systems
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting
    • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
    • Develop and implement effective repair plans to ensure optimal vehicle performance
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards
    • Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets our high standards
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless workflow and efficient use of resources
    • Collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge and best practices
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance
    • Strong knowledge of commercial transport truck systems and components
    • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
    • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines
