As a Visual Effects Lighting Specialist at Sony Pictures Imageworks Canada Inc., you will be part of a dynamic team that brings imagination to life.
The role is project-based, full-time, and requires proficiency in English as the primary language used in the work environment.

We are seeking highly skilled Lighting Specialists who can design and implement lighting for characters and environments, ensuring high-quality results that meet and enhance art direction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing lighting solutions for assigned shots
- Lights multiple types of scenes from simple to moderately difficult
- Ensures continuity of sequences
- Develops solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction
- Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX, and scripting ability in relevant languages
- Arnold shading, volume rendering, and raytracing experience preferred
- Knowledge of relevant compositing software, including Nuke, is preferred
- Degree in related field or equivalent experience required (2-year diploma or 1-year certificate, with minimal requirement of 2-3 years of relevant experience)
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $33.42 - $48.58 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and level of education attained.
