About the Role

VIP AUTO CARE is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, repairing or replacing mechanical units or components, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles.
  • Repair and Replace Mechanical Units: Perform repairs and replacements of mechanical units or components, ensuring that all work is done to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure that they are functioning properly and meet manufacturer's specifications.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Estimate the cost of parts and labour required to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Hand-eye co-ordination, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
