About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematopathologist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and prepare research papers for publication and presentation.
  • Supervise laboratory activities, train resident pathologists and morgue attendants, and act as consultants to other physicians.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and help pathologists with their work.
Requirements
  • A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, and pathology residency programs, including hematological pathology residency programs.
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC), Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II), and Specialty residency training.
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform repetitive tasks.
