We are seeking a highly skilled Java/Big Data Developer to join our team at Synechron. As a Java/Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines on AWS/Azure and/or Databricks.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders - business and technical - to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement micro-service architecture.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our solutions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of application development experience in Java and Spring Framework.
  • 5+ years of application development experience in Hadoop, Spark, and Java/Scala.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
  • Experience in developing/designing micro-service architecture.
  • Extensive experience in one of the cloud providers AWS/Azure and migrating large-scale complex projects from on-prem to Cloud including in-between hybrid options.
  • Proven hands-on experience in containerization – Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, etc.
  • Experience in developing applications in Spring & Spring Boot.
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building data pipelines on AWS/Azure and/or Databricks.
  • Knowledge in Market Risk/Capital Markets/Banking.
