Job Title: Depression and Trauma Care Counsellor

Homewood Health is seeking registered mental health professionals to provide service on an occasional, contract basis for our Depression Care and Trauma Care Programs across Quebec.

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced clinicians to work with clients who are First Responders, addressing issues of systemic workplace stress and routine exposure to direct trauma. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, and registration or clinical membership with a relevant governing body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize solution-focused, CBT, and DBT approaches to provide treatment focused on depression and/or trauma concerns
  • Develop treatment plans and monitor client progress throughout treatment
  • Adhere to professional standards and best practices
  • Engage in clinical consultation with the clinical management team as required
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years clinical counselling experience post Master's degree
  • Experience in Trauma/PTSD counselling, including working with First Responder populations is a strong asset
  • Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 or as otherwise determined by Homewood Health
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Written and verbal French language fluency is an asset
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
