About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Grimsby, ON. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering complete capital projects and technical solutions that align with our Operations Capital Plan.

Your primary focus will be on overseeing project scope, timelines, budgets, and ensuring the highest levels of performance, safety, and quality. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, procurement, and construction of assigned capital projects.
  • Drive process and capital improvement projects while ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage capital procurement and contractor supervision, ensuring cost, safety, and quality standards are met.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for stakeholders, driving system and process improvements.
  • Ensure continuous focus on EH&S, Quality, and Food Safety throughout project development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering).
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Industrial Construction, or Process Manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, HACCP or other Food Safety standards, and ISO/Quality Management Systems is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage procurement contracts and large-scale projects up to $2M.
