Parking Meter Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Parking Meter Technician to join our team at Reimagined Parking. As a Parking Meter Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing parking meters and equipment in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain parking meters and equipment, including software and hardware upgrades.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on parking meters and equipment, including cleaning, battery replacement, and part inventory management.
  • Respond to meter repair requests and maintain a meter repair log.
  • Conduct daily checks of routes for damaged meters and ensure that all meters are cleaned and batteries are replaced routinely.
  • Assist in the collection and security of parking revenues and fees.
  • Assist event staff with parking-related activities, including setup, traffic control, and payment receipt.
  • Assist office staff with permit sales and data entry during peak seasons.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of networking, hardware, and software.
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle and work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work for extended periods of time.
  • Good problem-solving skills, time-management skills, and ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, listening skills, and ability to understand and explain technical language.
