Piping Drafter

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Piping Drafter to join our team at Solaris MCI. As a Piping Drafter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and other engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers in executing engineering tasks and work in accordance with established engineering practices and drafting protocols.
• Produce project drawings, including P&IDs, PFDs, System Schematics, Plot Plans, Piping Orthographics, and Isometrics.
• Interpret and carry out creative ideas proposed by engineers or designers.
• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) software and drafting workstations.
• Update and create tie-in lists per engineers' or senior designers' direction.
• Collaborate with other designers or engineers on field assignments.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education with a technical diploma in Drafting/CADD.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Open-minded with the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks and use judgment to solve problems based on guidelines and procedures.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of engineering codes and standards.
• Familiarity with computer aided design and drafting (CADD) equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office and AutoCad.
• Interest in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
