About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team in Port Colborne, Ontario. As a member of our new plant start-up team, you will be responsible for managing construction and capital projects from concept to project closure.
Your primary responsibilities will include providing technical expertise and leadership in control system engineering, design, implementation, programming, configuration, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting in support of manufacturing industrial control systems. You will also specify equipment control systems and process functions for new equipment, design instrumentation and controls for machinery and facilities, and specify PLC system architecture for new installations.
In addition, you will support PLC programmers with machine control concepts and hardware selection, assist engineers of other disciplines with electrical and instrumentation designs for their projects, update electrical drawings in the document control system, and occasionally support maintenance personnel with troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation breakdowns.
