About the Role:

Trotman Auto Group is seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk to support our Abbotsford Hyundai location. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain valuable experience in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Perform collection and follow-ups with clients and receiving payments
  • Process and modify pre-authorized payment adjustments for client and bank reference
  • Post and reconcile manufacturer billing documents and statements
  • Reconcile accounts and schedules as directed
  • Communicate effectively with Department Leaders and Controllers to obtain or correct required documents
  • Handle daily deposits
  • Data entry as directed
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Periodic reception coverage required
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company expectations in interactions with customers, colleagues, and vendors
  • Additional duties as outlined by Management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in an accounting role within the automotive industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Self-management in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented role
  • Intermediate level aptitude in MS Office applications and Outlook
  • Dealership accounting experience an asset
