">Job Summary:
">The Pediatric Nurse Specialist will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with complex medical conditions, working collaboratively with inter-professional teams to ensure comprehensive care.

">Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pediatric patients on admission and at regular intervals">
- Assess patient information from various sources, including observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment">
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals">
- Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and inter-professional teams to promote person-centered care">
- Provide education and support to patients and families on illness prevention, health restoration, and maintenance">
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines">
Requirements:
">- ">
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)">
- Two years of recent clinical nursing experience in pediatrics or a related field, with completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area">
- Clinical proficiency in pediatric nursing theory and expertise">
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams">
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively">
- Proficiency in initiating and maintaining intravenous therapy">
- Ability to teach and instruct patients, families, and community partners on essential health topics">
Compensation and Benefits:
