Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at the District School Board of Niagara. As a Supply Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide educational support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and special education programs.
  • Assist teachers and other educational staff with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students who require additional academic support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in educational support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
