About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Concept Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Concept Artist, you will play a crucial role in bringing our game worlds to life by creating high-quality concept art that captures the tone and atmosphere of our games.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Art Director to develop the artistic vision for our games and create concept art that aligns with that vision.
- Work closely with Level Artists to create immersive game environments that transport players to new and exciting worlds.
- Develop a wide range of concepts, including architectural design, hard surface props, and vehicles, that showcase your creativity and attention to detail.
- Provide in-depth research and reference material to support your concept art and ensure that it meets the highest standards of quality.
- Work closely with the Art Director and other team members to ensure that your concept art is aligned with the overall artistic vision of the game.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in creating concept art for games or other forms of media.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and 3D software, such as Maya or 3ds Max.
- Superior eye for light, value, composition, color, staging, and detail in environmental design.
- Ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game environments.
- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
- Experience shipping AAA PC or console titles as a concept artist.
- Passion for developing online games and a strong foundation in the traditional arts, including figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.
