Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist I to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Neurodiagnostic Services Department, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic tests, preparing patients for procedures, and providing technical support to medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct EEG, Evoked Potential, Nerve Conduction, and EMG tests on patients, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Prepare patients for tests by explaining procedures, attaching electrodes, and monitoring patient comfort.
  • Formulate technical reports for interpretation by medical staff, analyzing recordings and measuring numerical data.
  • Participate in departmental infection control programs, ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, maintaining service and equipment performance records.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Diploma program in Electroneurophysiology, plus one year's recent, related experience.
  • Current registration with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) and the Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC).
  • Current membership with the British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) and/or the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC).
Skills and Abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based Electroneurophysiology practice.
  • Broad knowledge of Electroneurophysiology theory and practice within a client and family-centred model of care.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach/demonstrate, communicate effectively, and work independently and in collaboration with others.
